About OTACI

OTACI is a Turkish herbal skincare and haircare brand made by Kurtsan, a manufacturer whose roots trace back to a family pharmacy founded in 1955. The name itself is the old Turkish word for a healer who worked with plants — a fair description of what the company has gone on doing for seventy years. Klearus is OTACI's distributor in the United States.

Formulated around plants, not around a trend

Turkey sits at the meeting point of three floristic regions and grows roughly ten thousand plant species, a third of them found nowhere else. OTACI's formulations draw on that: sage, nettle, ivy, arnica, chamomile, yarrow, lavender, and Damask rose grown in the Isparta rose valley, where the harvest is still cut by hand before sunrise while the oil content is at its highest.

The formulas are built without parabens, silicones, or SLS, and they are vegan and not tested on animals.

The ranges

Rose Passion — skincare built on Damask rose water: a hydrating toner, micellar cleansing water, a rose and aloe cleansing foam, a deep hydration face cream, and a brow and lash serum.

10 Herbs — a daily shampoo and matching conditioner blending sage, peppermint, melissa, rosemary, myrtle, storax, thyme, juniper, lavender, and chamomile.

Single-herb haircare — targeted shampoos built around one plant doing the work: nettle for oily scalps, arnica for fine and weakened hair, ivy for daily use on any hair type.

OTACI LAB — a numbered five-part system. No:1 coconut and ylang ylang for dry or damaged hair, No:2 rosemary and geranium for volume, No:3 aloe vera and keratin for frizz, No:4 biotin and caffeine for strength, and No:5, a nourishing plant-extract conditioner.
